So, i bought into the hype that there aren't too many cuties at berkeley and i was okay with it since i am going here to study chemistry not guys, but it seems to me that there are some attractive people. i think grad students tend to be better looking than undergrads, especially the head gsi for my math class. does anyone agree with me?
maybe i am just attracted to older people... come to think of it i had crushes on college guys when i was in elementary school maybe this is just an extension of that.

Well, from what I've heard the unwritten rules regarding dating between girls and guys is that girls can date anyone older than them, and guys can date anyone younger than them (of course equal age is okay as well). At least this is what my sister told me, as she was complaining (she's 20) how the pool of guys she can date (at UCLA) gets smaller as she goes through college while the pool for guys gets larger.
Anyway, so it could indeed be exactly what you said. But back to the other aspect of the topic, now that I'm up there, I haven't found the situation nearly as bad as anyone implied. It seems quite average in terms of attractiveness of people (not as good as back where I come from, but that is an exceptional area).
