I know I still have to compete for CS major after I get admitted to the L&S department.My question is: is it enough to JUST get in Cal???I am so scared...since my parents have high expection to me...

please look over my stat. can give me any suggestion.

I got B in calculus I, 1st chem, and 2nd chem.
2 more classes left before completing IGTIC.
4 W's.

vice-president of Engin.and CS club
volunteer tutor
work part-time

btw,I have completed CS61A and CS61B at another cc.

If you write a decent essay, you should be fine. I also got a B in calc (and trig) and no one seemed to care, at least for L&S admissions. If you're looking at CS, though, the IGETC thing is mostly a waste of time. I suppose it's not bad, but it's likely more than you need. Make sure you satisfy as many of the other college reqs as you can. It sounds like you've been doing well, but maybe throw in a linalg class and an ee class. (I didn't have either, and I got in, but they'd certainly help)

I'm a 3.75 UW, and I got into the College of Engineering. Although I didn't apply EECS, I'm confident I would've gotten it. Okay.

Your SAT scores would be more important than your ECs.

I got my Bs in humanities (particularly english and foreign language). I got A's in calc and physics, chem, etc.
