Maybe i'm supposed to know what this is, but i was baffled by the email i got in my NU email this morning. Has anyone else gotten it, and if so...what the hell is it??

All the members of the Class of 2008 are automatically signed up together on a listserv.

Basically, a listserv is an e-mail group. Send a message to the listserv address, and all the members of the listserv get it.

The e-mail that we all received is the standard confirmation that we've been enrolled onto the listserv.

Listservs are great.

In fact, the NU '08ers from my high school have set up a listserv so that we can schedule lunches and stuff together.

You can apply for your own group for whatever purpose:
