Hey guys. It would be great if you guys could evaluate my stats as my school's guidance department has no idea about Stanford. I will be applying EA.

Race: Asian
Location: Virginia
SAT: 1510 (M: 790 V: 720)
GPA: 93.0 uw (School does not weight GPAs)
No ranking
SATII: World History: 800 Chemistry: 770 Writing: 750
AP: World History: 5, Chemistry: 4, Statistics (self): 5, Microeconomics(self): 5, Macroeconomics (self): 5, Psychology (self): 5.

Taking AP physics, US History, Calc AB, English Language as a senior

As you can see my academic profile is not perfect to the “T”.

Extracurriculars:

FIRST robo team:
President of the business division:
Raised 60K to fund the team and maintained the business plan.

Chief of Media:
Headed team to create the logos, order and make shirts
Headed team that created an animation to promote FIRST organization

Founded a local investing fund:

I founded a investing fund which maintains approx. 30K dollars. I invest this amount in a variety of financial vehicles like stocks and options. This is basically my primary EC. All my enery was directed at this and thus I really wasn't able to part take in other activities. However, I enjoy myself greatly as I would like to have a career in business post-graduation. I had an approx. 19% gain per year.

Summer Activities:

9th-10th: Had a paid job at a local Virgina law firm. Dealt with personal injury cases and created the propositions.

10th-11th and 11th-12th: Worked on the fund. I really do not get much time during the school year and much of my investing is done during the summer.

I will be a first generation college student. Also my parents are below poverty level in terms of income if that means anything.

Thank you very much. This site has been a great resource considering the fact that my school's GC is delusional regarding Stanford.

i don't know, are you top 10 percent? i'd say the chances are a tad below 50/50, depending on how well they look at your business stuff because your ec's are lacking

oh i didn't see the below poverty/first gen., i'd say you're about 50/50 actually or maybe better if you're school is a dump

poverty will help you, but your race hinders you. Too bad how superficial admissions are these days.
