What if your freshman grades are good? Do they totally disregard them?

yes. if they didn't disregard them, it would in fact make you an even worse candidate, as you evidently declined rather than improved- stanford wants people with current potential. who cares who you were four years ago? That's barely pubescent. Heck, I still believed my first boyfriend whom I had never kissed after a year and I would stay together forever. Point being that the last couple years give a better example of who you are now- after you had settled into high school and could better decide how to handle yourself and your classes.

addendum- I've sure they will look at the grades and realize you've been consistent. Just do as well every year, and everything will fit together nicely. But for an actual GPA, I guess they recalculate it based on the last couple years, which is just extra work for them HAHAHA ADCOM
