Hey guys. I'm going to Berkeley in January of 2005 with aspirations of going to Haas School of Business. I'm planning to become an international business lawyer and was wondering if I should get a BS in business administration or a BA in Econ. I need some opinions. Thanks!

Nobody majors in business for undergrad- that's more of a grad school thing. Go for Econs.

I do agree with foreignboy that in general, majoring in business as an undergrad is not to be advised. You should only do such a thing if the undergraduate business program in question is a good one.
However, Berkeley Haas is in fact one of the good ones. So I would say that if you can get into the BS program in Haas, you should go for it. If for no other reason, the Haas School of Business is better run than Letters & Sciences.
But often times that choice isn't exactly up to you. You can't just "choose" to go to Haas, you actually have to apply to get in, and the competition for slots is rough. it's a rather big 'if' as to whether you will actually be able to get into Haas.
