okay i applied the day after the online application came out and i have recs in and test scores were in sometime last week. when do i start running to my mailbox? when do they start looking at apps does anyone kno?

I don't think they are even going to look at your app until the first week in Oct.
My guess is Thanksgiving.

You don't HAVE to run to the mailbox you know. There is a number you can call and all you have to do is plug in your social security number and they will give you the status of your application. The first replies traditionally go out in October. So you will probably hear back fromt he admissions office in mid October. Good luck.

It'll be before Thanksgiving. I know kids who had their acceptances before that. I would think you'll hear by mid-October. Good luck!

alrite thanks, i'll start looking like second week of october. i called the admissions office and they said that they start looking at applications on september first, so hopefully everything will work out! i love the school so hopefully by november i'll be a wolverine!

Congratulations to you for getting your application in so early! I think last year everything was delayed by about 3-4 weeks because of the new application. If they've worked out the bugs, should be 6-8 weeks. Two years ago (before the new appl), my son applied in late September and was accepted in mid Nov. A friend's D applied in early September and was admitted in late October.
