Hello everyone im just wondering about my chances to transfer to georgetown in the future. Tomorrow i will be leaving for the University of Scranton in Pennslyvania where I will be attending. But eventually I think that I will want to transfer out to Boston College or Georgetown.

Here are my high school stats (not impressive)

Overall Average: 87
SATs: 1070
I also had very good RECs, and ECs.

Im just wondering if i should apply as a sophmore transfer or junior transfer to Georgetown and what G.P.A. should i be aiming for

probably junior, b/c the high school transcript and GPA mean less for juniors than sophomores. GPA for most top schools should be 3.7+

I am also looking to transfer to GTown, as a sophmore in the class of '08. Last spring while i was visiting, the admissions rep that I spoke with said it was a lot easier to get in as a transfer, because usually the applicant pool is not as strong as the freshman applicant pool. Still you should probably take your SATs again (I know it sucks taking SATs in college, i'll be sitting for the september test date) and do everything to get the best grades possible in college

Efs are you sure that retaking the SATs will boost your chances that much more? It seems like such an additional drain of time that you could probably spend elsewhere.
