If I go to NU, I'd like to do a double major (political science from A&S and communications from the School of Comm.) Is either of them easier to get into than the other?

You can double major but only in the A&S if you are in one of the smaller schools. So Comm. and Poli Sci could work. I'm not sure what is easier.

You would have to get into Medill(Journalism) and major in English, you can't do it the other way around I don't think since some programs like Journalism and Radio/TV/Film have caps on the number of students possible in the school.

You can enter Northwestern as a Weinberg School and do an InterTransfer application to the other specialied schools (Comm, SESP, Medill, Music) but you have to maintain a superior GPA and courses for the transfer to happen. Medill is harder to transfer into while SESP and Comm are much easier. Do what you feel is best for you.
