There comes a time in every student's life that he has to deal with all this. This is mine.
I'm in the top 5% of my class (somewhere between 15-22 out of 596).
SAT: 1430 (should go up next time I take it).
SAT2: still waiting.
EC: Model UN (president), World Affairs Society (president), part of the World Quest team (president), National Forensic League, Debate Team, NHS, active member of HOPE (animal stuff), active member of the YMCA teen court, regular volunteer at the Women's Shelter, GT mentorship (only 14 poeple in the entire district get it), over 175 hours of community service.
Two jobs: first: writer for the largest magazine in Pakistan; second: a tutor for an actual tutoring service.
GPA: 3.9.
So far taken five AP tests (US History: 5, English 4, CalBC: 5, Chem: 4, World History: 5). Next year, taking Bio2, English, Gov, Eco, Psychology, Euro History APs.

Did you live in Pakistan? Where is your school?
I think you have a good chance at Rice. Are you going to apply ED? What other schools are you considering.

i used to live in karachi, and i would've attended KGS if didn't move.
i'm not applying ED (I'm saving that for U Chicago) and I'm also applying to Wash. U in St. Louis, Chicago, UT (Plan II), and Brown....perhaps Georgetown
