We got a "facebook" in the mail today of all the incoming freshmen with their names, photos, hometown, high school, interests, and major. Pretty neat to see everyone!

It came addressed to the student's father in a big envelope. It is the register. It says it is a gift of the alumni association. It's very cool. Lot's of info in the first pages and then a yearbook kind of thing for about fourty eight pages (24 students per page) and then two pages of names of kids who didn't send in photos.

No, neither my husband nor I went to Gtown. This just came in the mail saying, "We proudly introduce you to the dynamic and talented men and women of the class of 2008". The front of the book is blue and says, "Hoya Saxa, Georgetown University New Hoya Register Class of 2008, A gift from the Georgetown University Alumni Association".

Let's see Jason Johnson....from Elmont, NY. You're a handsome devil!

Gtownmom, the book your husband received was because he ordered it for $18, I believe. The Alumni Association gives them out to students during orientation.

That's certainly possible. It's a handy book and we've all enjoyed looking through it, counting other Texans! I'm glad you all get one at orientation.

One strange thing....my son's roomate, whom he connected with through the roommate matching system (CHARMS?) is not listed in the book at all. That's strange....??? He'd have to be a legitimate student to get onto that system wouldn't he???

Gtownmom, try signing up for www.thefacebook.com, and look up your son's/daughter's hall and browse and see whose on the same floor.

Also...my pic is old...I was procrastinating and I had to send in an old school photo...aieee! lol...I guess I don't care that much, so long as the photos are small, haha.

My parents didn't order a book, though, so I'll have to wait to pick mine up next week.
