Hey all,
I am wondering if anyone knew anything about lofting the beds in the dorms (i'm staying in a unit 3 double if it makes a difference). So far I've heard that you can only use university lofts, there are a limited number per dorm, and you have to pay for them to bring it in, install it, and take it out. At CALSO I saw some of the triples and I thought the desk under the lofted bed was really nice (I'm going to have a desktop and a laptop and my desktop monitor is a 20" RGB/TV/VIDEO 3 in 1 thing which will take a LOT of space). Anyways I was wondering if anyone knew stuff like how much it costs, how limited in number the lofts are, and if they come with desks underneath or just an empty space. Thanks in advance!

Jon is correct, it costs $50 (from what I've heard elsewhere). I don't think they loft your bed high enough to put a desk under, I think it's meant more for storage. In a triple by default there is a bed with a desk built in under it, I think, which is what you saw (which is not the result of lofting). I don't know about limits.

hmm I like the huge desk under, but I guess I'll have to provide my own desk eh? Anyone know the consequences or probability of getting caught with a ghetto-loft (dresser on one end desk on the other) ? haha. Thanks for all the input so far guys!
