US Govt: 4

GPA: 3.5 UW counting only sophomore and junior years

ECs:
Captain science bowl, 2nd place in state last year
Science olympiad 7, 8, 10-12 7 regional 2 state medals in middle school, 5 regional medals in high school
Scholars' Bowl 7-12, probably captain senior year
Math team 7-12 (I have only gone to about 4-5 tournaments in high school because of lack of interest in the school, have 7 top 10 finishes, 6 from middle school)
Winner of various in school math contests
AMC: 103.5 (lots of dumb mistakes that day)
AIME: 4

I'd say pretty good chances, as your test scores are great. However, the gpa might be a little low; what is your class rank? EC's are pretty good, and U Mich likes to see varsity sports so definitely play tennis next year. I don't know if they care about middle school EC's, however. If you apply early, I'd say you have a very strong chance of being admitted.

SAT IIs are not required, but you can certainly list them on the application form and 800s look damn good! 1530 SAT is awesome. 5s in AP Chem and Physics. Dude, apply in September and you will most likely get in. Your GPA is your only weakness, but I still think you have a good chance of getting into Michigan.
