I think I have responded to your post before but I will again. Since you want to major in business and minor in music, have you thought about the Department of Music and Performing Arts Profession's Music Business program? The program requires student's to take music classes (Music History, Music Theory, and other Music electives) through the Steinhardt School of Education, music business major classes (i.e. Advertising ahd Promotion in the Music Industry) as well as classes at the Stern School of Business. The most important part of the major are the internship opportunities (I have known people to have internships at the Harry Fox Agency, Carnegie Hall, and Sony Records.)

Some graduates often work at the places they had their internships, others get jobs in recording studios, and still others go to law school or business school. If you have a childhood dream of working in the music industry, this might be the program to make that a reality.

The only problem is that you can only apply to one school at NYU, so either the Stern School of Business, or the Steinhardt School of Education's Music Department.

Good luck with your college search.
