lol. As I'm sure you all know, many parts of the Exorcist feature Georgetown. The most famous being the staircase. Does anyone know where the heck these stairs are??? I MUST find them when we get to school, lol.

I heard that the stairs connect Prospect Street with M Street. But I haven't seen them for myself so I'm not totally sure.
Here's a picture of them as they are today, though: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/style/longterm/movies/features/dcmovies/exor2.htm

I saw the steps when I went to D.C. in January! It was pretty kool! Also apparently, every Halloween there's some tradition at Georgetown where students go to different places where the Exorcist was shot. I'm not exactly sure what happens - seems fun, though~

It's right by Car Barn and it connects prospect to M, just like Itziar said.

Yup, Prospect to M Street. There is a gas station as soon as you step off of the bottom step. The eeriness of using these stairs will wear off fairly quickly, as they are really just a convenient way to get from Prospect to M or from M to Prospect. Just don't try singing the fight song while you're walking up... (long story that includes losing your breath)

Saw the steps when I went to D.C. in June, pretty damn cool.

Wow, never realized that the Exorcist was shot in Georgetown. Man, that movie scared the crap out of me (and still does). On that site like 3 pictures in there was a picture of Linda Blair with her head spun around, and I just about jumped when I saw it, haha.

Believe it or not, I've never seen the Exorcist! I was planning to watch it before school started (just because of its G'town connection), but since I heard they show it every Halloween I think I'll wait.

I've never seen it either!! I feel like a dork. I've seen parts on TV but never enough to understand why it's scary.

Well, let me tell you guys! It was THE scariest movie back in the olden days. Scared the crud out of me. It was way ahead of its time as far as technical movies go - nowadays those slasher movies are supposed to be scary.
I went with my friends to see it when I was a junior in high school. We went to a drive in theater thinking it wouldn't be as scary bc we had heard it was really bad. Well, my sister and her bf snuck up behind my car and when the bed scene came on where the girl was being flipped and flopped they started shaking the car! All my friends and I bailed out of the car screaming! It was so funny. Ah memories....
But honestly, you should see it. The movie is a classic and I see that another one is coming out that shows what happened before the devil shows up in Georgetown. I am terrified to see it again but maybe I will rent it and watch it with my daughter. Lots of Georgetown sites to see in the movie.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna see it! My mom (who hates scary movies) went with her friends to see it in HS too, and she was so scared she had to leave the theatre. Some of her friends and other people in the theatre, however, threw up! (I guess they were really frightened or grossed out?)

Itziar - probably both scared and grossed out. Like I said earlier that was a new movie genre back then, so for you guys (like my daughters), it would not be scary at all.
Worth seeing though.
