Is anyone part of this program at NU or planning to apply to it? If so, can you possibly describe it in more detail? Thanks a lot.

I was very interested in this program. I sent away and NU gave me a small packet of info about it. But I agree, info is scarce. It sounds pretty interesting. You may also want to check out Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences (MMSS) too, it is similar to MENU.

Anyone know much about math at Northwestern in general? I'm also curious about the MENU program if anyone has more information about that. Any clue how MENU would compare to a similar course selection at say U Chicago or Stanford?

I'm going to be in that program this fall as a freshman. I am not sure how strong this program is. However, I hope this can help. This is an e-mail I received from the MENU program.

Dear XYZ,

Based on your outstanding performance on one of the AP Calculus exams, the Mathematics Department is very pleased to invite you to join our MENU (Mathematical Experience for Northwestern Undergraduates) program. This program, available only by invitation, offers special courses which provide deeper and more challenging mathematics instruction than do our regular courses. MENU students also enjoy convenient access to a departmental computer laboratory and to a classroom reserved for their use.

Detailed information about the MENU program, as well as instructions on how to respond to this invitation, can be found on the web site

That link should give you details about the program. Good luck to you all!
