how cold does it get in st louis? is a down comforter necessary? or should i just get a basic synthetic comforter and bring an extra blanket?

Well...

I live in St. Louis and I won't deny it does get cold here. However, I have my regular cotton sheets, then a fleece blanket, a basic synthetic comforter, and maybe an extra throw blanket on the coldest nights.

I personally wouldn't get a down comforter, because once it hits April and May, I don't uses any blankets or covers at all. Like right now, I don't want to even see a blanket cuz it is HOT and Sticky!!!!
