Please help if you've been through this. S will be having an off-campus interview sometime in the next couple of months since we aren't going to get to visit Rice. Waiting for info (sent in Part I of app). Did anyone have one of these interviews? Do they send you a list of interviewers to pick from, or what? What do you wear, what do they ask, etc. Thanks!

Tabby: I posted our experience with the interview in the parent forum. It may help with your last two questions.

My son interviewed with a local alum. Our area had several interviewers and they just split up the list of kids to interview, the students didn't get to choose. He wore a sports coat and tie, as he did to all of his interviews since he felt better wearing that, but many parents here say that's not necessary and a nice shirt and khakis are fine. Most of his interviewers invited him to take off his tie and coat, especially if they were more casually dressed.
The questions dealt with normal things, trying to find out what you really enjoy doing and why, why you want to go to Rice, what you want to do in the future, etc.
