im really into film and writing for screen and directing, and I was curious to know whether or not stanford has good minors/majors in that area.
any other schools w/ good film depts. would be verrry appreciated.

good question, I want to know too. UCLA, USC, NYU are all known for their film departments, I think generally NYU is thought of as the best.

Working in TV, I know that Stanford has a great documentary film program.

Because I live in palo alto and it's been in the paper several times this year... the few film classes they had were getting so big and people were getting so into it that they decided they were going to have a major.

I actually called and asked; they said a film major will not start for at least a couple of years. There is currently a film minor tho
