My SATs are: 1300
SAT II's:700 in Writing, 700 in Math IC, and 650 in Bio

weigted gpa-if i do ED/EA, it will be 3.9, if i do RD, it will be 3.95

rank: top 15%

Buisness computer applications..(grr. i am better at this than the teacher, but this class is required for graduation so i have to take it no matter if i already know how to do everything....)
US govt( i didnt wana take AP cause 4 AP=hell for me atleast)
economics
Senior English (i didn't wanna take AP cause i know i will do badly in it..english is not my forte)
psychology(however u spell that)


oh. i know this will probably hurt me alot, but i got 2 C's, one in Trig, and one in AP stats....


my extra curriculars are-
renaissance club
key club
honor society
spanish club
500 hours of volunteer at hospital(ER, front desk-this is the most of all the volunteers)
volunteer at each Science Expo for past 5 years


will they just laugh at my aplication, and decide to burn it cause its too horrible? I know i have to raise my SAT, but if my SAT is 1300-1350, will i still have any chance? any chance right now with my 1300?

You may want to consider ED. ID/RD applicant pools are generally stronger, but you are from Idaho. You have that going for you.

Being from Idaho is a plus, you've got a good selection of honors and AP classes, and you've got pretty solid SAT 2 scores. Improving your SAT I scores would help. You need to give us a little more information: What's your UW GPA? What's your SAT I split? To which school would you apply? What were your AP scores, especially for AP Stats?
I agree that you may want to consider ED. Also, write the very best essay that you can, interview, if possible, and decide who will give you the strongest recs!

i actually was going to apply for EA. My break down of the SAT is: 660 math, 640 verbal. i did horribly on the AP stats test....3...my unweighted gpa is a bit low-3.75.

i am also applying to university of miami, but rice is my first choice. im appplying to case western reserve university, UCLA(if i can get my sat up), and im not sure of more..

i actually have a list. of schools that i want to go to. i posted it on the chances post, but i think that they are all messed up on what i have as safties, matches, and reaches. plus, im gonna get rid of half the stuff on my list.

Sorry! I meant to which school within Rice will you apply? And, your GPA isn't really low. Just hang in there this fall. Your SATI split is pretty evenly distributed, which is good. Each additional question you answer correctly is worth about 10 points more. Practice if you have the time, focusing on problem types or verbal tasks where you think you can consistently pick up some points. Good luck!
