Hey everyone, I would appreciate any input I could get regarding my chances at NYU CAS.

Location: NJ
Race/Gender: White male
Prospective Major: Biology
Unweighted GPA: 3.5/4.0 (Slacked off 9th grade, showing upward trend :/)
Weighted GPA: 3.7/4.0
Hardest course load
Class rank: top 10% of 600

SAT I Scores 1410
SAT I Math: 720
SAT I Verbal: 690

SAT II Scores
SAT II Literature: 720
SAT II U.S. History: 700
(Taking Writing and Math iic in October)


Extracurricular Info
-Editor for the school newspaper
-Journalism Club
-Held a steady job for 3 years at a dry cleaners (Since Freshman year)
-Worked for a home health care business regularly throughout the last 3 years.
-Babysat regularly over the last 3 years. (free)
-Designed advertisements for various local companies (to be used in newspapers and other periodicals)
-Designed and coded web sites for many individuals, some for free some for pay.
-Currently run a server hosting company
-Voluntarily tutored a 9th grader in Algebra I over the course of a year - 200 hours
-Voluntarily tutored an 8th grader in Algebra I over the course of a summer - 100 hours
-Volunteered at a local hospital (Physical therapy department, patient work) – 250 hours
-Volunteered at a local doctor’s office (Clerical duties, some patient work) – 500 hours

-Recognized by the NMS program for being in the top 5% of PSAT scores (not sure if its worth anything but I figured I would list it anyway)

GPA - you are showing an upward trend which is better than the other way around. Top 10% isn't too bad either although of course could be better.

SAT - 1410 puts you in the range for what NYU accepts.

EC - Editor of the School Newspaper is very good and you have lots of volunteer work.

NYU should be a match for you.
