where are you going to school now? If you have good stats your chances are good. Curious, why Wash U?

im going to my state school. it's not horrible, but it's not great. i visited washu and the campus and atmosphere seem great. i also have a friend there who told me about his experience and so far it seems great. btw, i just graduated high school. i didn't do great on my tests in high school (30 ACT) and only had a 3.8 gpa.

Do a good job at your state school, and who knows??? They do take transfers especially 2nd semester. By the way, your gpa and act scores are up there. I do not think test scores is the end all at Wash U. They matter, but so do ecs. Are you into music or sports??? Most kids are so much more than their test scores! Don't worry, send Wash U an application and see what happens. Tell them that you visited the school and loved it!!!! Good Luck.

do you think transferring to washu would be a good idea, especially since i go to a state school with a pretty good med school. if i stay here, it wouldnt be so hard to gain admission into the med school here. if i went to washu, that may look bad for this med school. then again, i would like a better undergrad experience. then again, washu would cost 4x more than what i pay now. any thoughts?
p.s.- i also hear the weed out classes are uber hard(chem, bio).
