Does anyone happen to know which political science courses are the most interesting/enjoyable? I'm a MCB major with an interest in political science, and I was planning on enrolling in either political science 2 or political science 4 this fall semester. Also, does anyone know anything about political science 4? Thus far only 1 person has enrolled out of 50 available spots according to the online schedule. Is it a particularly horrible class or something? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there. I am intended Poli Sci and I am taking Poli Sci 179--which is a seminar one hour a week for one unit, but looks cool. They have a diff. speaker each week to touch on political topics...no exam...just a cool way to learn about poli sci.

I am also taking poli sci 41--look at the course descriptoin--it looks awesome. :)

good luck!

I'm a political science major at Berkeley and I think the REALLY great classes are in upper division. I've taken poli sci 1 adn poli sci 2 and I just thought those were just reading-intensive, cattle classes (cattle class=a class with 300+ people). I think the upper division courses are where the departments real strengths lie...example: PS140D-War, Violence, and Terrorism
PS120A-International Relations
PS 149-Politics of the Iranian Revolution (149 topics vary by semester)

My take on choosing humanities and social science courses (as a science/engineering major) was to choose based on the professor, not the material.

My roomate, a polysci minor, liked professor Gregor a lot; Bruce Cain is famous (always on tv news during election season) but I don't know how he is as a teacher.
