I have a friend who is going to medical school but is doing politcal science at Rice. He completed the basic criteria for medical school, but didn't want to go through the rigors of getting a biomedical engineering degree (and the low GPA that accompanies it). I'm wondering what are the difficulty of the statistics or economics majors, because those are the ones i'd consider if I weren't doing a science track to medical school.
