Hey guys

I am applying to a number of universities, as i would like to get into one of those. Since, i an international, i have a vague idea of the prestige of US universities. So, will you be able to tell me if i have a chance
My stats are as follows:

Recieved 92% mark in yr 12 overall

Recieved B grade for state wide cores skills test

Top 10% mark of state in yr 12

Top 5% of yr 12 class

I have done an honours program (highly difficult and prestigious) of acceleration in chemistry-which is by doing yr 11 chem in yr10. I would have completed yr 12 chem in yr11 but due to circumstances i had to stop.

Top of geography class in yr 12 and 11

Captain of geography

ACT mark of 32

Not done the SATs but recieved very good results in practise round

Prefect and captain of house

Science club

Environmental club

Interact club

Won numerous awards >50

Attend a higly competitive high school

Taken a very tough combination of subjects

Been a champion in table tennis and won many medals

Interschool cricket-2yrs

Volleyball-1yr

interschool Basketball-2yrs

Swimming championships- 3rd (breaststroke)

Atended many interschool meetings on leadership issues

Done community work in Mother Teresa foundation

I know guys that my ECs are not that strong but i am planning to improve on them considerably. However, will you be able to tell if my academic achievements are good enough. Also, if possible can you tell my my chances at other good private and public uni' in percentages. I deeply regret my long post and thank you for reading it.

Wow I've read a million posts and I have no idea how to evaluate your stats. Is there any international college conseling available to you locally?. Have other students from your school gone to Rice? I wonder if anyone had heard of a private college counselor with experience in whatever part of the world you are from. Well one possibility is to start by calling Rice and asking for the person who is respsible for international admissions. That person may at least be able to tell you if you are competitive in the pool.
