I know it's becoming over used, but I would really like to know if I have a chance at attending NYU. I'm a white male about to move from CA to VA (if that means anything). I also plan to apply early addmissions. Here are some of my stats.
Academic:
gpa: 3.4 u/w and 4.1 w
curricula: i've taken the hardest courses throughout high school (all honors, and I will have quite a few IB/AP courses as well)
SAT: 1380/1420
ACT:32
SAT II: I haven't taken them but plan between 650 and 700
*I do have two C's in hon. geometry and hon. pre-cal, will that factor in even though my GPA is OK?
Extra-Curricular:
-Treasurer of Debate team and club
-ASB class representative
-music: honor bands all years, never placed lower than 3rd chair, solo/ensemble contests have always brought me state level, have played up to level six pieces
-Scouts: Eagle scout, Order of the Arrow
-Community service: volunteered my summer in a Mexican orphanage and elderly home, numerous hours with the special olympics, over 60 hours in soup kitchens
-church: volunteered with VBS, played guitar every sunday and even started a youth praise band, built part of our youth building
-I will also be getting a job this summer-it's already lined up (i'm a junior).
*I also will have attended 3 high schools by the time I graduate, this factor played into my grades a little bit
I'm pretty much interested in either business or poly sci. I know Stern is extremely hard to get into, so I would appreciate comments on whether I'll be able to get into cas and/or Stern. Thanks a bunch.

Well, I think you have a good chance on both schools, CAS and Stern. Good luck.
