I'm attending Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia next year, but I'm thinking about transferring back home to Houston to go to Rice. What are the stats of people who transfer to Rice, are they too rediculously high or anything I should be too worried about? I finished top 15% at Clear Lake High School in Houston, TX and have a 1500SAT, 750 Math 2C, 700 Biology, and 680 Writing Score on the SAT2's. I'm majoring in biology at Emory but am gonna do a general classload next year (general chem and intro physics) and will try to switch to Biomedical Engineering if I can get to Rice.

With your numbers, you seem to have a pretty good chance of getting into Rice. Unfortunately, I don't know much about their transfer statistics either, but you should do well. I would say, first off, visit Rice's website and look under their statistics section (you can get there from the prospective students page easiest) to see if transfer info. is available. If you can't find anything, just give them a call or e-mail. It's more of a personal way of communicating and might show to them your interest. Plus, they've always been very good at responding quickly with me, anyway.
Good luck.
