yeah .. this girl in my school i think got into LS&A and one of my friends just got into olin... i dont get it! they are like accepting so many people now.. Why cant they just do it from the beginnning instead of making me go thru all of this trouble!!!

I just got into Wash U off of the waitlist on Monday. They call you at home. Yeah Wash U Class of '08!!!!!!

Congatulations!!!!! From what I've heard you are going to LOVE Wash U!!!! Good Luck...My question: Did the Admissions office reveal how many kids they picked from the waitlist???

They haven't revealed it to me. Last year they took 23 off of the waitlist (if that helps). I get the impression from people I know and from this message board that there are probably hundreds on the waitlist. Anyway, good luck. Also, I know that they don't rank their waitlist...so it's hard to tell what a person's shot is. I had given up hope about Wash U entirely...until I got the phone call three days ago.

I sent in one letter affirming my interest...though I'm not sure whether that was before or after they'd made the decision to waitlist me. The letter was primarily a "thank you" note to the admissions rep with whom I interviewed while I was visiting.

can anyone summarize what happened to the people on the waitlist. when i was on here a cuople of months ago, it seemed as if everyone was waitlisted. so how many waitlistees did they accept after May1?

I got into Wash U at the beginning of June. I don't know how many they accepted, but they were still accepting in June.

i asked my regional rep, with whom i have a good relationship, and she said that she did not know how many have gotten off the waitlist. it sounds like more got off this year than in previous years, though.
