I'll be attending the High School Summer Scholars Program at Wash U in about a week and i wanted to know from ppl who've attended the program like what to expect and how were their experiences; How's St. Louis?; Is there a lot of free social time or is it like study city (I'm taking Italian and Intro to Reading/Writing about Lit); how were the weekend outings? the girls? You know, the whole bit.

you're gonna be there in a week? so am I, but I'm registering for classes... I'm so excited (I only spent about a day and a half in St. Louis before deciding to go there) As for your question, haha...I have no idea.

I was accepted at the HSSP at Brown, where I got no financial aid, then at Wash U, where I got $800 financial aid. I would be there, but really my family isn't able to afford it. I was just there checking out the campus and I loved it... I'm sure you'll have a great time. One of the kids working for the admissions staff talked about it during our information session and said the HSSP was one of the things that helped him decide on coming to Wash U. To top that, on my tour we walked into this dorm that said "Welcome Summer Scholars!" on the wall, which was really a slap in the face! To think I would be there if I either had more money or Wash U had been a little more generous. Oh well. I applied knowing that finances were an issue.
