So, one of the many forms I just receieved said we had to send in a head-and-shoulders picture for the facebook. The only picture I have that doesn't make me look completely ugly is my senior portrait. Do you think that would be too dorky? Like I'm stuck in high school or something?

No. I've seen some of the pages form the facebook and many of them are senior portraits. Ha! you made me chuckle.

Here's a dumb question:

How are we supposed to get five different photos of ourselves in a head-and-shoulders stance? I don't know about you guys, but I almost always take my pictures with somebody else.

And, do we have to stick by the 3*2 inches? My senior portrait came in 2*2...

it's not a dumb question :)

You can use the same photo.

2x2 should be ok. I assume they don't want anyone to exceed the 3x2 size...

I don't think size is a big issue, as long as it's not really huge or really tiny. They're going to resize all the photos and make them black and white anyway.

Yeah Psa, I'm pretty sure they want copies of the same photo right? Or do they expect different photos?

Lol, Pansy, I'm sure the photo will look fab. My problem: I'm not photogenic whatsoever, and I don't want this one coming out like my passport photo which was horrible. Considering how often we use our ID's as well, I need this to be decent.

By Psa (Psa) on Sunday, May 30, 2004 - 02:53 am: Edit

Knew it was a dumb question >_<".

----------------------------------------------

I had this nagging suspicion that the 5 photos, according to the rule of "simple common sense", should be the same.

However, I just had to play slueth. It bothered me that if they wanted the same 5 photos, why would they ask us to staple the photos on 5 separate boxes? We could just staple them together on the same box...

So, basically, we can submit 7 identical photos, 1 for the ID, 1 for the facebook, and 5 for form B, right?

By Amnestykid (Amnestykid) on Sunday, May 30, 2004 - 07:41 am: Edit

lol. the point about stapling them together seems so logical doesn't it? i mean they're also pretty touchy about where and how you staple them. doing them all together would reduce the chance of a mis-staple. also, considering the process of removing the staples from each photo, there will be higher chances of damage. who designed this outrageous process??? jk. :)

moving on, i'm sure 7 identicals would suffice, unless you want to go and get creative with form 1 and B, the only ones that don't state 'restrictions on photos'. however, i'll probably just keep it simple and for for all 7 in one go.

Do you need to have a regular photograph from a camera and process the film or can I use a digital camera and print a photo out? I only ask this because June 14th is fast approahing and getting film developed takes some time.

Thanks for any input!

By Foreignboy (Foreignboy) on Sunday, May 30, 2004 - 01:24 pm: Edit

They wrote on the back of the little envelope that they don't want digital printouts. (though I don't think there's much difference if you have a good printer)

Doesn't film processing take like one day?

By Stanfordman99 (Stanfordman99) on Sunday, May 30, 2004 - 08:01 pm: Edit

Yeah I guess you are right foreignboy. I'm going to buy one of those disposable Kodak cameras and take a picture of myself. It shouldn't be too bad.

Isn't it pretty easy there to walk in and get a passport/ID photo taken on the spot? Then specify a size and number of print outs, and here it takes about 15-20 minutes max.

People use digital printouts. They really don't care. You don't even have to send in a photo if you don't feel like it. And you can use different photos for the facebook and your ID.
