So I was thinking it'd be fun to start getting to know each other. I'm so excited for fall! I plan on maybe majoring in either bio or psych and going on to med school. On weekends if I'm not studying, I'd probably be hanging out with friends watching a movie ..or.. yeah, not much to do in Rochester, MN I guess. Maybe go work out or something.. but I'm not really the typical terribly outdoorsy Minnesotan. Is everyone else really into the outdoors? Oh hey, and is anyone planning on going on the frosh trips?

I'm having problems with accessing the caucus page on the Carleton website. I can get to my e-mail account, but it won't take my password for the caucus anymore. Anyone else having problems?

All these things I have to fill out are getting annoying, and one of them is the bed linens thing. The cover of the envelope said reply in 15 days, but the inside says August 20. What's the deal? Thanks in advance!

Tennizpro06 I'm working on my special courses stuff right now. It's due Thursday (yikes). Can someone clarify some stuff for me though...I thought that we take three classes every trimester...but we sign up for FOUR special courses? or are those courses outside of the regular curriculum? Help!

Carletoniscold: those four choices for the seminars are in your order of preference. You may only take one of them unless you get into the Pacific War one (the combined composition and history courses) or the Triad. You pick four because the classes have a limit of about 15 students for them or so and you might not get into your first choice.

Be sure you submit the form online (linked in the New Student Mailings menu on the New Students section of the site), it's a lot easier than mailing it in.

Useatoothbrush, I thought it was mandatory that I take a writing seminar every year at Carleton, but it seems to be an "option" in the special courses packet. Do I have to even sign up for a writing seminar when I sign up for special courses.
