Hey guys

I wanted to know whether i have any opportunity at being admitted to michigan uni

My stats are as follows:

Recieved 92% mark in yr 12 overall

Recieved A grade for state wide cores skills test

Top 10% mark of state in yr 12

Top 5% of yr 12 class

I have done an honours program (highly difficult and prestigious) of acceleration in chemistry-which is by doing yr 11 chem in yr10. I would have completed yr 12 chem in yr11 but due to circumstances i had to stop.

Top of geography class in yr 12 and 11

Captain of geography

ACT mark of 32

Not done the SATs

Prefect and captain of house

Science club

Environmental club

Interact club

Won numerous awards >50

Attend a higly competitive high school

Taken a very tough combination of subjects

Been a champion in table tennis and won many medals

Interschool cricket-2yrs

Volleyball-1yr

interschool Basketball-2yrs

Swimming championships- 3rd (breaststroke)

Atended many interschool meetings on leadership issues

Done community work in Mother Teresa foundation

I know guys that my ECs are not that strong but i am planning to improve on them. However, will you be able to tell if my academic achievements are good enough. Also, if possible can you tell my my chances at other good private and public uni' in percentages. I deeply regret my long post and thank you for reading it

I think you have nice credentials and have a good shot at getting into a school of your choice. Is Michigan your 1st choice? What about Rice? I don't know about the Ivy Leagues because there's almost no guaranteed get-in to any of them even with 1)Perfect standardized scores 2)Great Essays 3)4.0 GPA 4) Valedictorian...and the list goes on. If you are interested you should apply and give it your best shot, just do a LOT of research beforehand. I had a classmate get into Stanford and MIT not necessarily because he was brighter than anyone else who didn't get in, but because he did all his research well. But again...don't expect too much with schools like that. Make sure you have a few safety schools mapped out.
