Movies, concerts/dances, clubs, music/theater/dance, lectures, weekly pub night, small informal parties, large campus parties and so on and so forth. For example, last weekend was the annual "Worthstock", an all-day outdoor rock concert in the courtyard of Worth dormitory.
Downtown Philadelphia is 20 minutes away from the Swarthmore Train Station, so you have the entertainment and concert options of a major city.
