Hey Bowdoin '08 ---

Has anyone received their housing forms and stuff like that? I sent my money and card in a week or so ago, and I'm not sure if they send housing stuff out on a first come/first served basis, or if they hold off until a certain date or whatever.

Hey Travis - From what I understand, they will send the forms after they have recieved all the acceptances and stuff, so a while after May first. I think the pre-o trips start accepting responses in June.

Don't worry, you're not alone in not having the forms yet.

Moore 038

Anyone know anything about Moore? it's not a part of the standard line of bricks, is it newer/older?

none of them really look much different, whether they're "new" or "old" (hyde is the oldest, but that's all i know).

moore's set up with long hallways - some of the dorms have this, some have two "wings" of sorts, with separate entrances. moore's co-ed by room, not by floor, unless they've changed things. it's traditionally known as one of the "party" dorms, but that's not always the case.

well other than hyde and the "party" dorms, there aren't really any "reputations" - hyde is the dorm that some people make fun of, because it's chem-free. there are sometimes "hyde runs" where people •••• on the outside walls, etc. (i lived in hyde, it's really not a big deal - no one hates hyders or anything, but it's the butt of some jokes, as would be expected.) the traditional party dorm is always coleman, with moore often being one as well. depending on the year, other dorms also have this reputation. maine hall was known for being a bit "sketchy" this past year, at least among the people i talked to. but there isn't really a "jock" dorm or anything like that (as far as i know), because it's all pretty random.

Thanx for your concern Flash...just to let you know, unlike some other colleges, we dont get to chooses dorms at Bowdoin.

hyde sounds pretty cool otherwise.... Better in hyde at Bowdoin than in....
