My D will be going here in the fall of 2004. When we visited last August, we were very impressed. The campus is nice and the people were very friendly. She interviewed with the Dean of Admissions and he is wonderful - quite personable and an alumni who met his wife there. Wittenberg requires all students to perform 30 hours of community service and my daughter thought that was great. She did an overnight in January and had a great time. I think it will be a fun four years for her. Do others have opinions about Wittenberg to share?

My niece studies there, and is overall quite happy. She is an international student, and they have bent over backwards to help her fit in, and have been very responsive to her needs. However, she was not too thrilled with the quality of teaching in some of her classes. This could be due to her coming from a very different environment. She also said that several of her friends, who were pre-med students, were looking to transfer out to other schools, as they felt medical school placement could be better elsewhere. She mentioned that the neighborhood around the school was not very safe, so to be careful when venturing out alone or late at night. The campus facilities are very nice. Good luck to your daughter!
