Why does place keep sending me crap? I DON'T WANT TO GO THERE!!!

Is there any way to nicely asking Admissions offices to take your name of their mailing lists?

hahahaha....yeah..those small colleges with names of the big elite Ivies.

Yup, I've heard of Cornell College....in fact Pres. Bush gave one of his commencement speeches there two years ago!

There is also Columbia College in S Carolina.

There is a University of Pennsylvania - California institute in Central California.

Cornell College WANTS your money! That's why they keep harassing great students like you. Try changing your phone number!

Isn't this strange?

So, is anybody going to even talk about the college in question, or are you ppl content with blowing it off because it has the same name as an ivy school?

Cornell College was established before Cornell University.

I got into the school. I think that it is a little small for me. I am also a little bit worried about taking only one class at a time. I come from a school where we were on block schedule (so we only took four classes at a time). So I guess it would be something like that.
I defered so right now I am just working on differnet things until I find out if I really want to go to the school or not.

I have a friend who teaches at Cornell College. It's a beautiful place in a very scenic small Iowa town, Mt. Vernon, which is located midway between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids (about 20 miles from either city). They instituted the block plan or one-course-at-a-time sometime in the early 1980s. Many students appear to like this approach, although it's not for every one. Those who are considering Cornell should look carefully at the block plan by talking to students and faculty to see if it would work for them.
