Discus: Individual Schools: Top Liberal Arts Colleges (LACs): Harvey Mudd College: SENDING IN MORE THAN ONE SIR / DEPOSIT?!?!?!?!
By Rishi718 (Rishi718) on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 - 06:05 am: Edit

statement of intent to register, u know that thing u sign, and mail in with a deposit

apparently each school's is a little different (some dont require signature)

well i was just trying to get some stuff straight

first, i heard a lot of people have done this, and it makes sense to lose a few hundred dollars instead of losing a year or more in a place u dont want to be.

second, i heard if the school finds out u sent in a deposit to more than one school, they can revoke ur admission??? they CAN, but do they?? have any examples guys??

im thinkin of sendin in more than one to like TWO UNiversity of CALIFORNIA schools and maybe cmc, pomona, or hm,simply cus i cant decide and this way i can jus take my ap tests and decide later.

aparently, from stories i heard, the kids who got away with it, sent in deposits to schools that had nothing to do with eachother so those schools dont check against eachother, but im prolly not gonna send in more than one UC, because i believe these schools run a random checking thing electronically and thers a chance ull get caught???

any advice or further questions would really help

thanks

actually i send in one for hmc and i also told one school in the uk that i'm going (but the uk one is only a conditional acceptance). i still couldnt make my mind where to go, though. (i hope no hmc admission people read this!)
