Why is Cambridge so unpopular..?
I applied there as an International (Korean residing in NZ). Had to do one of their own application (paper) and one through UCAS. It didn't take that long since I already had a copy of teachers recommendation, it was hard work transferring the paper recommendation onto the net though.. (Sore fingers)
Apparently nobody from my school got into Cambridge yet. I don't know about americans, but for kiwis it looks pretty tough..
Did anyone here get accepted to Cambridge?

Well I'm an Cantab graduate, though I am a UK student. there was one Kiwi in my whole college of about 400, so they aren't that common. Overall at undergrad I think Interbational students ahve a lower rate of acceptance than home students. Less than 20% of undergrads are international. However, among grad students it's about 70% international and 30% UK. That's common with a lot of UK unis who cannot recruit home students because it's too expensive. If you are an NZ citizen you can apply for a commonwealth scholarship for post-grad study in the UK. Not sure what you would apply for as an undergrad. Overseas fees are a LOT and there isn't really a tradition of scholarships in the UK like there is in the US. (because until 1998, tuition for home students was free.) You could also try for a Gates scholarship http://www.gates.scholarships.cam.ac.uk/
Hope that helps
