Hey, my friend was waitlisted at Hamilton and absolutely shouldn't have been. She still has two good choices for schools left, but she belongs at Hamilton.
Top 5% of class at good high school
SATs in 1300s
good ECs, 3 varsity sports

If anyone has any info on what her chances are for getting in off the waitlist, or if anyone has any advice on what to do to strengthen her application, PLEASE leave me a message and I'll pass it along to her.

well, i know a lot of people who have similar stats, lower and higher who are also very smart people and in my opinion should have been accepted into hamilton but were not. maybe she can mail hamilton a letter of interest and how committed she is to going to hamilton if she gets in. maybe send a copy of her second semester first marking period grades if they're good or something that shows interests. i wish i knew what more to say but good luck to your friend.

Wow that's great. My daughter was accepted (w/ merit scholarship), but has decided to attend another LAC (w/o merit scolarship). My son is 16 and is beginning to look, so hopefully he'll like Hamilton too.
