Does anyone have any idea of financial aid at ND? Are they pretty generous, less generous, or in the middle?

I got in EA and some of the other admits that I talked to got pretty generous packages. My friend said it will be cheaper for him to go to ND than to either of his state schools. And only a small portion of his aid was a loan, the rest was all grants.
I, on the other hand, didn't really get any aid (unless you count a work study and loan that totals $5000.) But I didn't really expect to so that isn't an accurate indicator of their generosity.
They claim to meet 100% of demonstrated need, and so far it seems that they have.

When did you get your financial aid packages? Admitted early , and received acceptance to Arts& letters /Science Honors today, but no word from financial aid.

You were admitted to the HP? That's awesome, congratulations!

I got my financial aid package last saturday, which would have been March 13. If you're in the honors program, I'm pretty sure they'll make sure that you can afford ND. I doubt you have anything to worry about.

Actually, my daughter did. We were hoping Honors might help in the package, but so far no news....we were hoping all the stuff was in early enough to give us an early shot at a good package.....brother is there now as a frosh. Thanks for the good thoughts. Go Irish !

Right around the top of the middle 50%( 25-75%) stats they post.
