I've heard that it is ranked number 2 after Wharton. Is this so for undergraduate business degree as well?

The other question I have is, if you are admitted to LSA can you change your mind and get into the business school in the sophomore year?

UM's BBA program is ranked 3rd by US News (behind Wharton and Sloan).

you can't apply to UM's BBA program out of highschool or as a freshman. you apply as a sophmore. BBA students are accepted into the University of Michigan Business School only for fall of their junior year.

prior to that, you'll be a LSA student or whatever...

I got accepted as LSA pre-business, and I'd imagine there are certain prerequisites one must take in order to even apply. So say you are a biology major or something then decide you wanna do business, you couldn't just apply without the courses needed.

There are prerequisites. Your counselor during orientation week should help you.

pre-business is neither a major or concentration or program or ANYTHING at UM (just like pre-med at UM). declaring a course of study has no bearing on your admission to the business school...

but some kids like funny little titles like that...i guess it makes them feel like they have direction...or that they're distinct in some way...

the only thing that matters is that you have taken the following classes...

Accounting 271
First Year Writing Requirement
Math 115
Econ 101
Econ 102

besides that, just make sure you have enough credits to be a junior by the time you enter the BBA program...and that you've fulfilled your distribution credits...and that you've maintained a good GPA...

Dstark, that's wrong. there are five prerequistes to even apply to the b-school for jr. year. celery mentioned them in the post right above mine. if you haven't taken all of them by the end of your sophomore year, you won't be considered for teh b-school jr year.

Chitownsfnst3, I said there are prerequisites.
