Hi, i was just wondering, how does UFM re-do their applicants GPA'S? i kno they don't use the point system anymore, but how do they recalculate a person's GPA? is their any weightage for honors/ap courses? how about school selectitivity?

as far as i'm aware, they simply use your unweighted GPA...no bizarre custom GPA recalculating...
so, as far as GPA, there is no weight given to honors or ap courses.
but, just like the old point system, they will consider the difficulty of your curriculum...that's where ap and honors courses get "weighted"...

The way it was explained to me, they recalculate your GPA on a 4.0 scale without considering pluses or minuses. For instance a B would be a 3.0, as would a B+ and a B- . Only your sophomore and junior years are calculated.

Sonrisa is correc -- in addition to only ACADEMIC classes being counted. Therefore, no art, gym, health, computer, technical ed, band, music, or yearbook/newspaper classes are counted.
