Hi, I am currently a Freshman at Hofstra University although I transferred from Union College after the first trimester. At Union, I took three courses (because of the trimester schedule) and I had a 3.67 GPA.

In H.S. I was ranked in the top 10% of the class
4.1 weighted GPA
1310 SATS
600 - Writing SATII
730 - Math IC
640 - Bio-E & Chem
28 - ACT composite score
I took 6 AP Tests (5 senior year)
AP Span Lang - 4, AB Calc - 3, AP macro - 2 (ugh), AP Lit - 3, AP Lang - 3, AP Chem - 3

-student government, advanced choir, all county chorus (8 years), show choir (a cappella), varsity basketball (3 years), jv softball (2 years), poetry club, president of SADD, etc...

I don't really know what my chances are for CAS.
At Union I participated in the choir, the girls' a cappella group there, and I wrote two columns for the school paper. I was also in a 6-year Law and Public Policy Program there in conjunction with Albany Law School. I really really really want to go to NYU and I was just wondering what you thought my chances were...thanks!

Wow, you've already been at two different schools and you're just a freshman? Yikes. What's your u/w gpa? That's what NYU looks at for your core subjects. Your test scores are in the low range for accepted freshman students, don't know about transfers although transfer admission is usually just as difficult to get in and sometimes tougher. Your AP scores are also kinda low. NYU only gives credit for 4's or 5's. It's always worth a shot to apply if it's something you really want. Ya never know these days who will or won't get in. Good luck.
