I'm sorry, but I'm still unclear about the deposit issue for UMich. Most of us want to compare finaid packages and colleges and will not make our final decision until april. Do we send in deposits now? I understand that $200 is miniscule in comparison to the cost of a 4-year college education, but it's still a load of dough. Am I compromising my space in UMich if I wait until mid-april? In simpler terms, is space guaranteed for admitted students even if they do not promptly pay the deposit? Thanks =)

You are not going to lose your space. You may not get the dorm you want. You may not anyway.

Sorry to ask this question over and over (I haven't browsed the forum) but UMich guarantees housing, right? If we send our deposits by May 1, will there still be enough housing?

Sorry if this has been asked before and answered before. My son is enthusiastic about UMich but still waiting on other colleges..but the level of enthusiasm has gone up since he met with an alumni.
