Does anyone know if Whitman offers Merit Aid for certain SAT's or GPA's or any other criteria? Is anyone ever "guaranteed" merit aid?

My daughter received merit aid from Whitman--she had a GPA of 3.9 and 1500 SAT. My other daughter was also offered aid, she had a 4.4 GPA and 1540 SAT, but she decided to go elsewhere. I don't know if there is guaranteed aid, but if a student has good scores, they are generous with aid.

My daughter received an $8000.00 per year scholarship, which works out to one free year. I think my 2nd daughter was offered 10,000.00 per year, but since she didn't end up at Whitman I'm not as certain of the exact amount. I know it was more than her older sister's!
