HI, my name is Sneha , and i have wanted to attend UMICH for as long as i can remember. i go to a school called detroit country day- it is a very, very, very difficult school- the average SAT score is above a 1350, - it's really hard. I am a junior- will have an unweighted gpa of a 3.5 or a 3.6. i am instate. test scores: haven't taken them yet, but probally will score around a 1300-1350 on the SAT I'S because my PSAT was in the 94th percentile with a 62 math and a 72 verbal. classes:
freshman year only honors class was honors biology
sophmore year took honors english, doubled up on sciences with regular chemistry and anatomy, took a 1 semester computer programming class
junior year am taking IB precalculus, AP biology, and have tripled up on sciences with ap bio, physics, and cell biology
senior year will take: ap biosychology, organic chemistry,, genetics (1semester class) and oceanography (1semester class) to give me a total of three science classes as well as taking english, regular calculus, and french five.
have taken french all through high school
extra curriculurs:
vice president of model un club, have been in club for past three years, will be in it next year
women's issues research comitee head, have been in the club sophmore and junior year
am a student tutor as a junior
have been on jv tennis for the past three years, will be on team again
work/volunteer service:
1. 125 hours at ymca child care center as a volunteer
2. 30 hours at abilities center with disabled kids volunteer
3. 36 hours at va hospital volunteer
4. camp invention counselor job
5. echo park learning center camp counselor job
does it seem like i will get in? i really, really want to go and i'm getting stressed!!! please help!

apply early. apply as early as you can - that increases your chances.

yeah apply early, but it is so hard to tell w/o actual test scores, seems like you should have taken them already based on your junior yr. and such. you c/n go by what you got on the PSAT, it varies greatlty, a lot of my friends and I had a considerable d/f SAT than PSAT.
Do you know Katie Craig or Rohan Sud? they are great debaters, i have debated them a few times.

i go to arthur hill in saginaw. do you know alan crawford? he knows a bunch of people from detroit country day. yeah, like everyone says apply early, i applied in the first week of oct and was accepted a month and a half later. make sure you apply online, and that your test scores, transcripts, and recommendation letters get in the same time as your app.
