I've heard rumors that engineering gives out a few huge honors scholarships--like 30 k and up. Is this true? Who in god's name gets these things?

They are 15k per year. From what I understand, about 10% of the class gets offered these, but I'm not sure of the #s. No separate app. They are mentioned on the engineering web site.

thanks dad99. what kind of stats do you need to get something like that? wow. Is there anybody on this board that got it? My SAT was M 800 V 710 and an 800 on IIC. My GPA was 3.99 and my rank was 1/249. Do i even stand a chance to get that kind of cash?
