Thanks for any comments!
Heres the dilio:
Because of a bad junior year, my GPA is something like a 3.4 UW/3.67 W. THe reason that its a 3.67 is because i had a 4.12 W senior year w/hardest coarse load so that brought it up. My rank is STILL 16th percentile at my competetive public school.
That said, heres the rest of my stats:
asian female
2 APs in 11th grade; 5 this year (HARDEST possible coarseload)
1410 SAT score (1370 at one sitting)
730/700/690
Some leadership positions, limited volunteer work, Work experience since 9th grade and unpaid internship at law office (12)
Good/great counselar rec (well I havent seen it but thats what I'm thinking)
A LOT of demonstrated interest! cept I didnt go visit but that was cause of $ reasons.
So what do you guys think?

Fiza, I really am not an expert about admissions to Emory, but I believe that many of the freshmen students I met there had similar stats. I believe Emory's "average" SAT is just about 1370, and your SAT IIs are also very consistent with those in this SAT range. That's the positive news. Unfortunately, everyone on this board is talking about how crazy admissions are going at most this year, so I'm not sure what to expect. If you are from somewhere other than GA, FL, NC, SC, or another close state, you may have a slight boost due to regional diversity, but otherwise, your credentials look very typical of the students Emory accepts (and that's good). Good luck.

Fiza, have you heard from Emory about admission yet? Just curious and hoping things are going well. Congrats on other good news.

Fiza, I'm well acquainted with Emory (unlike just about any other college!) as I live in Atlanta and my dad works with CDC which collaborates with Emory students/professors on many assignments and such. Your stats for Emory are reasonable and should give you a good chance at entering Emory. Emory is not as selective as some of other top 25 schools but Iflyjets's comments on easier admission for Georgian/non-Georgian students might play a factor. At my school, all 5 people who applied to Emory were accepted last year and we are in Georgia so I don't know. Also, if you are looking to get into Emory's medical program, that is HYPER COMPETITIVE so keep that in mind. Overall, your stats put you in Emory's range so best of luck! I do however, strongly advise an interview for out-of-staters: you said cost was prohibitive but if you have to/can, just drive down here for the weekend. My GCs have said that Emory knows most of the local schools and students well-enough but the same is not true for out-of-state residents.
As for Silent Angel, much of the same applies for you too. Emory's SAT range is about 1350-1450 so keep that in mind. I know that most of Emory's students come from the top 10% but a significant portion comes from the top 20% with much less coming after that so you may want to solidify your class rank by application time. Your EC's are a bit weak but people in my school have gotten in with less so it's not doomsday or anything. Just solidify your standing, aim for 1400+ on the SAT and your application will be solid.

Solitaire, Emory doesn't offer any interviews at all. Are you thinking about just the visit, maybe? Emory's SAT range (25-75th percentiles) is 1300-1430. Keep in mind that 25% score below 1300 and 25% score above 1430. Also, 90% of those admitted are in the top 10% of their high school classes. Hopefully that helps you, Silent Angel,to determine your chances.

Newest SAT range is actually 1300-1460, but 30 points isn't a big deal. How was your visit Kkgirl06?
