Hi,
My son and I are visiting in mid-March. We've checked out hotels near the campus and they seem all booked and expensive to boot ($175 per night).

I was wondering which hotels are good in the campus vicinity and whether they provide transportation to the campus. My price range is between $80-$140 per night. How far is Rt 94 from the campus?

Thanks!

here's a url with a list of lodging options in ann arbor: http://www.engin.umich.edu/students/prospective/undergraduate/visit/hotels.html

I think I94 only lets off at ann arbor in one location, state street. if you get off of I94 on state street, central campus is about a 5-10 minute drive, depending on traffic. it's real close...

i hope you guys have a great visit!

When you're there...be sure to check out Parthenon (I think that's it), it's this Greek restaurant in Ann Arbor, and I ate there when I visited U of M...best Greek food ever.

Thanks! The annarbor.org site also mentions
restaurants of many ethnic origins. Thanks again.

I stayed in, gosh, I think it was either a Super Eight or Motel Six. Motel Six I think. It's off a major road (south?) of the campus and was only about a five minute drive.

I dont know the exact price but my dad didnt complain about any outrageous charges :)

Achat: use priceline.com to get a good rate. Never pay the regular rate quoted!
