i am thinking about applying to Davidson. For the heck of it I might.
I have crappy stats:
SAT 1=1100
SAT 2=Writing 600, Math 1C 650, US His 600
GPA=3.4 weighted (i have taken 5 honors, 2ap, and will take 2 more ap and one more honors)
i am a white catholic, no legacy
But what will hopefully pull me over is my EC's and recs:
Eagle Scout
Pres of German Club
have my own internet radio show
Ass. Lighting Manager for plays
Peer Jury (we sentence juveys who committed minor offenses)MODERATOR
Pres of YOUTHNET 16 of Chicago
On the City-Wide Youth Council
in the SAM program (stopping alcohol to minors which i try to buy beer in a store for undercover cops)
I am a academic mentor at school
{there are a few more i cant think of}
plus i go to a prestigious Catholic prep school in IL
and all the teachers love me
Can i get in? What do u think?

Try taking the SAT again in Oct. (the average SAT score for Davidson is in the mid 1300's). It would help you even if you could break the 1200's. Your EC's are interesting - definitely focus on this in your essay, and good luck (I'm applying next year, too)!
